HUB2

HUB2 is a French fintech founded by Ashley Gaüzère, a Telecom engineer and former executive at Orange Middle-East Africa. HUB2 provides a payment infrastructure that enables African and international fintech companies to access all available payment methods in the region, including bank accounts and mobile money wallets, to facilitate seamless online transactions. Currently, HUB2 integrates with 30 mobile money networks and banks, including major players like Orange, MTN, Moov, and Wave, and operates across nine countries in West and Central Africa. HUB2’s clients range from neobanks, payment aggregators, and international remittance operators to microcredit companies and e-retailers.

Today, HUB2 processes €1 billion in annual transactions across nine countries, with a team of over 30 employees—one-third located in Réunion and Mauritius, and two-thirds in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. The leadership team is shared between two co-CEOs: Ashley Gaüzère, the founder, based in Réunion and responsible for product, payment networks, and regulatory matters; and Jean-Rémi Kouchakji, a serial entrepreneur who joined HUB2 in 2023 (formerly with MyBee and PayinTech), who oversees group management, business development, and operations from Abidjan.

The company is experiencing rapid growth and is set to continue this trajectory in 2025, with plans to accelerate its expansion in West and Central Africa. Following a successful Series A round, HUB2 is actively recruiting to expand its team and strengthen its capabilities for future growth.
